[TriLUG] More on the dual boot problem

Pardon me if I have told this story before.
When I started at SUSE in 2018 I was happy living with my Linux desktop (a
well equipped Dell laptop) and all was mostly well. Except for the odd
occasional conference calls I had to join. Several of the systems were not
consistently Linux friendly. So I went down the dual boot route -- too
slow and cumbersome. And I tried a Windows VM - not a consistent winner
there either. And after several embarrassing fails, I said to myself one
day, I know how to solve this. So on the next trip to Costco I came home
with a very nice X1 Carbon. To this day, it sits on the corner of my desk
ready to be my Plan B if something comes up that I can't make submit under
Linux. It has also done my taxes for the past several years as well.
Problem solved for around 1000 bucks (and I could have done it for less,
but I wanted something nice!)
