I've had one or more VPS servers at linode for seemingly forever now. I run or have run a variety
of services there:
- master DNS zone via bind9 for my zones, connected to he.net, and afraid.org secondary servers.
- Mail secondary MX receiver
- Virtual mailboxes for organizations
- Emergency mail destination for when my personal email server isn't available due to reasons.
- Apache-based websites
- Mailman mailing list server
- docker based services running FoundryVTT, hugo-based static website,
Yeah, the prices have gone up over the years and Akamai owns Linode now, but I still like them.

Look it up, they make it super simple and secure. But my mail does not have cred yet and get's sent to spam by alot of receivers. It's kind of a test to see if I can do it with any reasonable success. I have no idea how feasible that is yet.
