The one and only reason I use Linode is that I cannot guarantee isp connection to my house. Honestly, it cannot get any easier either. Seconds to spin up a server, minutes to be useful if you already know what you need to do. Linode has not tried to raise their prices even after they were sold and through the big inflationary period. I am still only paying $5/month per server at it's lowest level and you can actually do quite a bit for that money. I'm no expert, but I find it very useful. Same goes for any other service, I just happen to use Linode.
