Oh, this is absolutely true.  Google search for just about anything 
instructional these days and all the top hits will be sites that all 
regurgitate each others' scraped content, interspersed HEAVILY with 
advertisements.  To the point where a mobile user is left with maybe two 
lines of useful text visible on screen at any given time.  As an aside, 
I've had pretty good results using ProtonVPN to block ads on these types 
of pages on my mobile device.
