[TriLUG] xscreensaver doesn't Do The Thing (TM) after a reboot

Kinda odd question I'm posing now because I happened to think about it.

If I have to reboot my computer (Debian 12.8, LXDE), xscreensaver
doesn't work until I manually launch it once from a terminal. Perhaps a
story will help explain:

1. Reboot
2. Log in to an LXDE session
3. Press Super (Win) + L, which is bound to xflock4
4. Experience disappointment at a plain black screen
5. Unlock the desktop
6. Launch a terminal window
7. Run `xscreensaver &` (without backticks)
8. Dismiss xscreensaver settings dialog
9. Close terminal window
A. Press Super (Win) + L
B. Enjoy screensaver happiness

This has been a minor irritant through a couple complete system
rebuilds. I rarely have to reboot, so I generally just do the usual fix
above and carry on. But...why isn't it Just Working(TM)?

Cheers,
-Brian
