[TriLUG] Help: Looking for HP LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw Installation Software

The problem with this sort of thing is that either the printer will want
to install updates, or the OS will, and either update will sometimes
decide the other software is no longer compatible and just stop working.

Louis Rossman had some things to say about HP and recent updates designed
to make your previously functional printer no longer usable--to force you
into buying a new printer.

This is why I still love my 25-year-old HP LaserJet 4N. It's a functional
network printer under any OS, without the need for specialized
print/scan/fax software, and is so old that it can't automatically update
its own firmware.
