      I know this may seem a bit off raising the bar a bit, but I
would suggest being prepared to show people how to install something
like virtualbox and then run linux inside it. Reason is not all the
members of your audience may be ready to wipe their computer and
install linux on it baremetal-like. Showing how to run it as a vm
allows them to get their feet wet without losing access to whatever
they use their windows box for.
