[TriLUG] Pilot

Hey Group!

A thread about Pilot[0]'s age got some activity and it got me wondering,
purely for curiosity's sake, what are people actually doing with it
these days?

I use it as an outbound SMTP relay[1] so I can continue to self-host my
e-mail while on a residential ISP block with a dynamic IP. With the
somewhat recent chatter about the longevity of TriLUG itself, I've
already started looking for an inexpensive commercial solution
(currently looking at junkemailfilter.com). (That's absolutely not a
knock on TriLUG or Pilot in any way: my existing setup has been working
so wonderfully for over a decade that I've never had to think about it
at all except when rebuilding and configuring my Postfix installation.)

Once that's shifted off, I pretty much won't be doing anything on pilot;
the main reason being that having my own gear in my house to play with
satisfies all my needs, and with my own stuff, I can do stupid things
without worrying about affecting other folks. "what's a fork bomb?"

So...what are you wild and crazy kids up to over there? Anything fun?
