Emulation
Emulation
- Seeking to make Linux look & feel more like Windows
- Best when combined with API Replacement
- "WINE Is Not an Emulator"
- Neither is Corel's WABI
Notes:
What, really, is emulation? Emulation is most often misused to mean "running windows apps on Linux" when in fact it means "emulating th windows environment on Linux"
To truly emulate Windows, you would be seeking a Linux system that looks, feels, and acts like Windows, not just runs it's programs. It's the opinion of the auther that "emulation" is misused.
WINE and WABI are not emulators, but API replacements.
There are currently no true Windows Emulators on the scene.
