17:32:22 <raub> #chair bdmc mamarley raub
17:32:22 <Tribot> Current chairs: bdmc mamarley raub
17:32:38 <raub> #topic 1. Check for Agenda Additions
17:33:10 <bdmc> I guess that this qualifies.
17:33:39 <bdmc> I did submit the reinstatement application, as discussed. Now they say, wait 30 days before asking any questions.
17:33:53 <raub> Fun
17:34:06 <mamarley> @bdmc++
17:34:31 <bdmc> I am a little concerned, because it says that this is valid if we have not failed in the past. I think that they did, but I will wait for results.
17:34:58 <raub> bdmc: that is all we can do.
17:35:31 <raub> For the sake of documentation, this is the non-profit renewal
17:35:51 <raub> #topics 2. Current Topics
17:36:31 <raub> As we know, we had to find a speaker for this months' talk since we were left in the rain
17:36:48 <raub> bdmc: take it home
17:38:01 <raub> I know we can steal the bio from his previous talk, but we still need the blurb for this one
17:38:18 <bdmc> Brian Mullen will be presenting, as discussed in the Steering Mailing List. His "extra equipment" will be a chair or other sitting device.
17:38:40 <bdmc> He discussed the topic of his talk in the Mailing List.
17:38:55 <mamarley> I think there is already a chair behind the front desk in that room, unless someone removed it and I didn't notice.
17:39:01 <raub> Any ol' chair? We can have that on standby
17:39:27 <bdmc> raub: Well, the issue I see is the height of the desk.
17:40:28 <bdmc> We'll work it out, anyway.
17:40:42 <raub> We can reach out to Dr. Jasper to see if there is something we can use. Like borrow one of those chairs with wheels and adjustable height
17:44:45 <raub> I will reach out to him. Any other requirements?
17:45:07 <bdmc> Not that I know of. Of course, the usual computer requirements.
17:48:03 <raub> Who wants to write the announcements? mamarley?
17:48:51 <mamarley> raub: You mean the email thing again?
17:49:20 <raub> email, web, meetup
17:49:48 <raub> Most of it is primarily copying format and editing.
17:50:03 <raub> I can help with whatever you are not sure.
17:50:31 <raub> If you would rather not to, it is ok. I can, for instance, do the web one and you then use that to do the others
17:51:43 <mamarley> By web, I guess you mean what goes on https://trilug.org/ ?
17:51:49 <raub> Yep
17:52:08 <mamarley> I'm guessing that is in git somewhere?
17:53:55 <raub> That is the git I needed you rpublic key for
17:58:41 <mamarley> I don't remember where that is and I'm not able to find any documentation about it.
17:59:10 <raub> I will do it then and forward you the emails we talked about it and the links in the wiki
17:59:19 <raub> No biggie
18:01:43 <bdmc> mamarley: You don't know where your public key is, or you don't know the git repository? I just created a new key for this purpose.
18:02:50 <mamarley> bdmc: I certainly know where my public key is; I use it extensively every day for authentication to my own computers. I previously couldn't find the details about where the git repository was, but I eventually stumbled across https://steering.trilug.org/wiki/index.php/Editing_the_trilug_site, which doesn't seem to be linked from the main page.
18:03:15 <bdmc> Oops.
18:03:42 <bdmc> raub: Going back to new business, are you aware that the "Officers List" still shows Donald?
18:03:56 <raub> Yeah. We do need to update it
18:04:07 <raub> Was waiting on a pict from mamarley
18:04:25 <bdmc> No, I am talking about the one in the Steering Wiki.
18:04:42 <raub> Oh. Well, I can take care of that
18:09:28 <raub> mamarley: I added the link about how to post annuncements to the trilug site. Will expand later to cover meetup/etc
18:09:42 <raub> Moving ontop
18:09:48 <raub> #topic 5. General Business
18:09:50 <mamarley> OK. I added myself to the SC member list.
18:09:57 <raub> Good
18:10:08 <raub> So, how many pizzas if any?
18:10:31 <mamarley> I thought we talked about this last week and decided on 10.
18:10:57 <bdmc> That's what I remember. We even created a menu.
18:11:10 <raub> OK, so we are good on that
18:12:05 <bdmc> So far, so good. Do we have a place to put "Financials?"
18:12:21 <raub> bdmc: there we are
18:12:43 <raub> Item a: Finance
18:12:46 <raub> - Current status: dire
18:13:38 <bdmc> OK, after paying the IRS, we have $154 ( and 95 cents! ) in the bank ( Credit Union ). We also have $401 in the savings account, which I do not want to touch. We are also receiving 3 cents a month in interest in the savings account.
18:14:15 <mamarley> My offer from last week to pay for the remaining cost of this meeting's pizza after donations still stands.
18:14:31 <raub> bdmc: You do need to take some of that to pay yourself for last month's pizza
18:15:02 <bdmc> OK. I have not paid myself from last month, but I won't do that yet, because I need to pay for this month when I order it.
18:15:23 <raub> I see
18:15:57 <bdmc> If I take the $145 from last month, out, the remaining balance will be $9.
18:16:23 <raub> I will setup a day to meet with Tek systems and discuss them sponsoring trilug
18:16:42 <bdmc> That would be nice.
18:17:05 <raub> I was hoping it would be this week but she asked to postpone
18:17:18 <bdmc> If they wanted to do it on a more regular basis, more than once a year or so, that would be even better.
18:17:55 <raub> I do agree.
18:19:11 <bdmc> Is there anybody else that we can think of, not necessarily recruiters, that we have any contact with? IBM, Cisco, SAS, whoever. People use Linux occasionally.
18:19:48 <raub> I need to ping IBM again. I only kno wflaky people at Cisco
18:20:22 <bdmc> Incidentally, completely off topic. Is there a better day than Monday to get all of us into this meeting?
18:20:42 <raub> bdmc: I am open for alternatives
18:21:18 <bdmc> Would you like to send a personal message to the others, or send out something on the mailing list?
18:21:39 <bdmc> I know, I am dragging this way off topic.
18:21:43 <raub> I will send a message to the list
18:22:02 <bdmc> I was just wondering whether they might have ideas for contributions.
18:22:18 <raub> Agreed
18:25:08 <bdmc> ( sorry, quick look back at the Pizza order. I just checked the log, and it shows nine. )
18:25:34 <bdmc> 3 pepperoni, 3 cheese, 2 sausage, and one of something else
18:25:51 <bdmc> The agreed other was olive.
18:26:06 <bdmc> Go with this, or 10?
18:26:23 <bdmc> Maybe mushroom?
18:26:30 <raub> It seems you and mamarley were discussing that
18:28:13 <bdmc> I'm pretty sure that you were involved, too.
18:29:04 <raub> I do not remember if it was 9 or 10. I was hoping someone would know
18:29:09 <raub> I can look the log
18:29:59 <mamarley> I had said 10 and presented the above menu, but I made a mathematical error and it only added up to 9.
18:30:19 <mamarley> We could throw in another cheese or pepperoni, or just go with 9. It doesn't matter to me.
18:30:28 <raub> Well, I am game with 9 with the last one being olives
18:30:38 <raub> Just do 9
18:30:47 <raub> I do not expect many people
18:31:25 <mamarley> (I did get the website repository checked out, by the way.)
18:31:39 <raub> mamarley: very nice
18:31:44 <mamarley> I don't really have time to do anything with it right now because I am at work though.
18:32:03 <raub> I understand
18:32:24 <raub> I can put something up as soon as I find the blurb/abstract
18:37:14 <raub> Are we good?
18:37:22 <mamarley> I think so.
18:37:50 <raub> Alright then. I too need to get back to doing worky thingies
18:39:52 <raub> Let's continue on the mailing list then
18:40:50 <raub> #endmeeting
