[Hosting] FW: Webmail survey says...

This is really NBD. Once you setup the Apache+mod SSL server, then any
ordinary page or service can be accessed via http or https (as long as we
setup https to allow it... and I see no reason not to).

Plus Squirrel mail can do IMAPS (secure Imap), or so I'm told on the other
list.

Hi Jon,

I just realized something. Is it possible for any of these
web mail programs that work using imap to use either SSL or TLS?
I ask because while I was configuring the authentication methods
for the imap server last night, I chose to set it so that
plain text passwords are not allowed unless using SSL or TLS.
This is obviously the right way to do it for connections that
come across the network, but it's possible that for local
connections, it's not as important.

Thoughts?
