I know you will enjoy it.

As far as an HT you can get a pretty decent HT for a couple of hundred 
dollars. Alinco makes very affordable HT's and mobile radios. The Cary 
Midsummer Swapfest is this Saturday. Take a walk through the tailgating 
section outside. There are always some "deals" to be had.

Come and visit us on the JARS repeater (147.270 -600 split). We like to 
have a good time and are a good bunch of folks.
