Hi all,

Just so stays in the mail archives:

The first (and usualy, the only one) display in a Linux / X Window box=20
is named :0 and is located at "F7". Using "startx" from the command=20
line will start the first display ( :0) in the default location (F7).

To start a second display, named :1 , you need to go to the command line=20
and issue the order "startx -- :1 " with no quotes, of course. This=20
seocnd display will be located at "F8".

To start a third display ... :2 ... startx -- :2 ... F9 ...

To switch from a text screen to another text screen, do "ALT+Fn", where=20
'n' is a number from 1 to 6

To switch from a text screen to the first (" :0 ") X11 display, do=20
"ALT+F7".

To switch from a text screen to the second (" :1 ") X11 display, do=20
"ALT+F8".

To switch from any X11 display to a text screen, do "CTRL+ALT+Fn",=20
where 'n' is a number from 1 to 6.=20

To switch from the first X11 display to the second X11 display, do=20
"CTRL+ALT+F8".

To switch from the second X11 display to the first X11 display, do=20
"CTRL+ALT+F7".

Hope this helps.
