I feel the need to inject another possibility here...besides the obvious
legal danger of doing something to the current user of your computer, please
keep in mind that the current user of your computer may _not_ be the
one who stole it.  In fact, it's statistically likely that they are not.  Most
thieves steal stuff for money...not for the stuff.  Immediately after stealing
it they try to turn it into cash.  It's quite likely that the current user of 
your computer is some unlikely schumck who bought it at a garage
sale, pawn shop or out of the paper.
