Hi all,

This might be slightly off topic but kinda not since its about my
presentation...hehe. I'm trying to type this partly on openoffice at work
(windoze 2k), and it keeps using those irritating special windows characters
that don't display on linux (the screwy quotes, etc).  I looked through all
the blasted menus and I can't figure out how to turn them off.  Anyone use
star or openoffice and know how to turn those off?  I'm fixing to crack open
the source, disable them universally and troll the list until they agree to
apply it.
