but ... but ... i have /dev/cdrom1 -> /dev/scd0 on my inspiron (cdrom1,
since that drive is the fixed optical CD-RW/DVD drive, while i have
a modular CD-ROM drive). so linking directly to /dev/scd0 seems to
work just fine for me.
