What video card? I think the Netvista's run NVidia's. If so, I had this
problem and I downloaded the newest driver and compiled/installed it and
TuxRacer works fine for me now. Before it was very choppy.

What are the requirements to run TuxRacer?  I just installed a 7.2 
system on a one year old IBM Netvista and Tux Racer runs incredibly 
slow, and lags horribly.  Any ideas?
