Eh? I'm at Ximian's site right now, and it appears you can download
the entire shebang for free (connection time notwithstanding).

Of course you don't have to use Mutt or Pine if you don't wish. Mutt
has handled my myriad accounts wonderfully (at last count I have 20).
If you think Evolution might be better, go for it. Then there's KMail
for KDE. And then there's Sylpheed, etc., etc.

Yes, soon to be fixed in 2.5 with the inclusion of Eric S. Raymond's
CML2. Of course then you'll need Python2...

If that'll suit you, then go ahead. Most people find KDE to be more
polished than GNOME. Try KDE 2.2.2. There are RH 7.2 RPMS.
