[TriLUG] DCOP Error while logging in

I have a server with several clients - the clients are mounting their 
home directories off the server - When I log into the clients as root - 
everything works ok. When I try to log in as the user I get an error 
that says it can't find a DCOP server - I checked the file permissions 
on /tmp on the client  and its 777 --- I know that DCOP is part of KDE 2 
( I think 1 used corba). Any idea what might be causing the problem?
