[TriLUG] RH 7.2, KDE 2.2, why does KDM preferred background get changed by Red Hat?

I haven't built any of the terminals yet;  wanted to get the host "right" 
first.  Anyway this was fixed by liberally commenting out lines in Xsetup_0.  
Hopefully Bero will find some time to do a more permanant fix in time for 8.0.
