[TriLUG] RH 7.2, KDE 2.2, why does KDM preferred background get changed by Red Hat?

Does that just appear at the console or does it actually appear when
clients go to log in?  Just curios becuase my clients get the gray
background but the console displays the Red Hat synbol.
