[TriLUG] amanda configuration question

I'm trying to configure the tape device remotely(I'm running 7.2) on my
amanda server. I go to the tape-src directory, run make tapetype and
mount a scratch tape in the drive. For the next step, I try to run the
./tapetype utility and it pompts me for an argument and it's here I get
stuck. I don't know what arguments or switches to make in order to
execute the ./tapetype command successfully. I also want to temporarily
disable harware compression on my Linux system.Can anyone help me with
this?
