Usenet. How about IRC? I'm amazed at the people who can't communicate via
a vt100 interface
without being a arse. Case in point, ask a question in #perl where you are
trying to describe what
you want to do in terms of TCL. I did that this morning and I got a
boatload of smart alec responses.
Ahh, the joy of youth. You know everything and think everyone older than
you doesn't know anything.

Try visiting USENET for a few months. This top-vs-bottom thing flares up
right often. I just saw it recently on alt.games.video.sony-playstation2
and I've seen it plenty of other times.

Really, how can we expect to co-exist in real life (Pakistan vs. India,
Palistine vs. Israel, Catholics vs. Protestants, Letterman vs. Leno) if
we get so bent out of shape so often in our virtual lives? :^)

Regards,
matt
