Lisa,

Do the two computers have the same screen configuration 
(i.e. 1024x768, etc... refresh rate the same...)?  If not,
if you can make them the same, it might work better.  You
might also check your monitor manual to see if you can
specify some sort of auto calibration when changing to 
different modes.  My regular monitor at home does that
when I switch back and forth between my two computers.
I just calibrate the settings for each one and it remembers
them for me.
