[TriLUG] Key signings, keys ... ?

Hi everyone,

A quick question, while I'm reeling from the horror of last night's game.

What exactly is a GPG key?  I know what PGP is, and the horrendously long
key that comes with it.  I suspect that GPG is something different.

And for those who may ask, I did several google searches on GPG.  Even for a
veteran net user like myself, information about this secretive technology
was scarce at best.
