I use a PowerWare 3115. It's $90.00 from Stay Online when I bought it. It
has Linux drivers and I can say from experience it works great on my linux
desktop.

I also have 1 on an NT4 server and on a Solaris Workstation.

Subject: [TriLUG] Linux friendly UPS...

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced UPS system ($100-200) for a home
network (mainly I want to be able to provide uninterrupted power to my Linux
server and 1 windows machine long enough to do a controlled shutdown). Most
of the UPS systems I have come across have windows based software provided
with them to automatically shutdown the PC. Does anyone know of a UPS with a
Linux friendly software solution?

Thanks!

=Dave
