Did you try looking for kdmrc at all?
[reginald at linux1 reginald]$ head -1 /etc/issue
Red Hat Linux release 7.2 (Enigma)
[reginald at linux1 reginald]$ locate kdmrc
/etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc
