while it was a bummer to not get to see Mark Johnson talk about XML catalogs, i 
must give many thanks to Hunter Matthews for stepping in at the last moment to 
give such an EXCELLENT presentation!! 

with <=0 preparation time, Hunter was able to jump into the mix and show us the 
most important aspects of Current 
<http://www.biology.duke.edu/computer/unix/current/> while also including a lot 
of info about up2date itself. Hunter chose to take advantage of the command line 
and show us practically every aspect of Current RIGHT THERE in real time. it was 
awesome - and all with no prep!!

again, thanks to Hunter! and i hope we can still coax Mark into speaking 
sometime in the future. ;)   and "Welcome!!" to all the new members that showed.
