I tried some Line of site connectivity three years ago and it fairly sucked
at the time - though we went on the cheap and never tried any of the laser
endpoints.  We ended up getting Internet at both sites and then using VPN.

If your Yagi experiment doesnt' leave your R&D guys happy, then contact
TimeWarner Telecom and find out the cost of connecting the two sites via
their local loop.  Prices are really low these days.  Otherwise connect both
sites via the internet and setup a VPN.

Not on topic but I'll give it a shot... I need to connect two buildings
about a mile apart... I currently have two T1's (one is used for backup)
between but the R&D folk don't think 1.5Mb is fast enough, go figure.
There is line of sight between the two buildings so I was thinking of
microwave or perhaps WiFi with a yagi antenna to make the beam more
direction.  What would you do?
