Lisa,
Email me what you have offline. I'll check and see what you can use. Heck,
this uses ALL my degrees, including my music knowledge. Yeah, school!

Thanks Bill! I'll keep that in mind :)

I'm trying to do some research first to see if I should build from
scratch or if I can take one of these computers laying around here and
just work with parts of it (like upgrading a sound card if necessary). I
don't want to put together something crappy, but it doesn't have to be
selling-in-a-store-professional either :)

<embarassment> see I don't really know about all this music stuff ya'll
talk about here - I believe you when you say it's bad stuff they're
trying to pass into law. Why should we have to pay this tax to someone
when we are recording speakers? That's not copyrighted junk - or at
least the speakers know we're recording them. Guess I should mention
we're not selling copies of anything - just giving them to people who
would want them. But like I said unfortunately I don't understand a lot
about the taxes and music stuff! </embarassment>

Thanks for the input though! I'm going to get more info about the setup
that we have and then I'll probably be back with more questions :)
