When I asked about this before, some of the guys here said that the
problem was probably in the cables being double-shielded instead of the
recommended triple-shielded (terms may be wrong going on memory but you
get the gist). I have a ViewSonic L700 Monitor. One of the options when
I push the button on the monitor for the menu is to Auto Sync. That's
the only thing I've found to sharpen the picture. But I do it when
viewing the Linux side and then the Win side is blurry so I do it over
there. I tried Googling-it and didn't come up with much information at
all - like how to automatically have it auto sync when I switch over or
stuff like that. If you find anything let me know. Otherwise, try some
of the controls on your actual monitor - maybe you'll have something
similar to sharpen everything.

I feel for you - it absolutely drove me batty!!!

Don't recall mine beeping so can't help you there either :)
