[TriLUG] KVM nightmare

Hi All-

I'm using a Belkin Omniview E series (4 port) KVM, and it decided to
fight back this morning. I'm using a MS Intellimouse Explorer (USB)
with a USB-2-PS2 adapter, running RedHat 7.2 and 7.3 (different
systems).

So I've been having problems with the "jumpy" cursor, but I've worked
around that by 'ctrl-alt-f1'-ing out of KDE then 'alt-f5'-ing back into
KDE.

Now, for some odd reason (maybe the current tide conditions, or maybe I
have not sung to it enough), the keyboard works on boot (grub menu) --
but the keyboard and mouse are dead as a rock when KDE starts.

I disconnected everything from the KVM, hit the reset button, plugged
everything back in and restarted -- no luck. I hooked up the mouse and
keyboard to one computer only, booted -- and it worked. So something
screwy is going on with the KVM. \

I've had it with this thing. Can someone offer any advice, aside from
pouring hydrochloric acid on it? Any other chemicals? :) Please let
me know if I should forward any other info.

Thanks,
Doug
