i recently bought replacement batteries for three UPSs at batteries plus,
they 
even took in the old ones for recycling.  all three now work good as new.  
almost all UPSs use standard size batts, so it's usually a drop in 
replacement.  you just need to know the stats (12V7AH or whatever) or the 
physical size of each cell.

i'm using one of the units myself, but the other two are up for grabs if 
anyone is interested.  one is a small APC back-ups 280 (good for a single
pc) 
the other is a big honkin 1000VA unit with six outlets and a serial comm 
port.  $60 for the former, $250 for the latter.
