Maria,
How did you get your wireless PC Card to work?
I have a DELL Inspiron 3800
I just installed RH8 but currently using a Xircom PC Ethernet card.
I've tried to configure my Linksys WPC11 card
I downloaded the linux_wlan_ng_0114_pre1.tar.gz
Went thru the process of making etc.. but got and error on this step:
- Linux source directory [/usr/src/linux]:
The config script will attempt to automagically find your kernel
source directory. If found, the kernel source source directory
will be presented as the default selection. If the default
selection is wrong, you may correct it here.
I'm not sure where this is on my system or if it should be there?
Anyone have any ideas on what to try? I'm a newbie ;-P

Hello all,
I have three issues that I can't seem to resolve... I'm running RH 8 on a
Dell
laptop.
1. I can't seem to find how to change the start menu on the kicker. Where
did
they put this configuration feature?
2. I am using a wireless card successfully, but it won't activate itself on
startup. I have to activate it manually each time I boot. What's up with
this? For the record, it completely ignores my WinModem and I never activate
my regular ethernet card (although it is aware of it).
3. I used Ogle to play DVDs with Mandrake previously, and it worked ok, but
I
thought I'd ask if anyone has a better recommendation.
Thanks for the help! And for all those who haven't upgraded to RH 8 - you
should have a look. These fonts make it a pleasure to work in front of a
screen all day...
Maria
