Hey everyone, random question:

I just killed an errant lynx process that had been running for a couple
of weeks on one of our servers.

Now, running top on that machine gives a floating point exception. [1]
I can still read the /proc filesystem just fine, and ps works as well.

Any thoughts as to what might be happening here? How might I go about
tracking this down? Redhat 7.1, kernel 2.4.2-smp (2 i686 processors).

Thanks,
Matthew
