[TriLUG] Wireless Access Point recommendations?

I have a Orinoco AP-500 at my house and swear by it. You can hook up higher gain antennas if need be (mine has a +5 dbi sectoral) and it supports 128 bit WEP (but we're all using tunnels or IPSec anyway for added security, right?).

The Orinoco stuff is fairly easy to admin as well.

Just my $.02.

*D-Link AirPlusâ„¢ DWL-900AP+*

*ORiNOCO AP-200 Low Cost Access Point*

I like the Orinoco because it offers telnet admin & two ethernet ports
which might allow me to cover more of the house on a single drop down
the line, I also expect the orinoco build quality to be closer to cisco
level than the d-link... my d-link router works well enough, I just
suspect that if dropped or looked at wrong it may break...
