Chris has a very valid point here. OpenBSD can be as secure as Fort Knox... 
but then you cannot expect this to happen automagicaly.

Anyway, you have to pick from the pool of "security, easy of use, time needed 
to manage, stability, latest versions". You can't have all at the same time.

Think about it as a tank: You can have Firepower, Mobility and Armour. Combine 
all of them... but increasing one means that you have to decrease the other. 
Lots of firepower and mobility means flimsy armour (Wolverine anyone?) Then, 
Lots of armour and firepower means no mobility (KonigTiger, Challenger 2). 
When you have decent Mobility and Armour,  your Firepower lacks (Matilda)
