I've had great experience with the Netgear PCMCIA cards.  There are
three different drivers that work with the cards.  I personally prefer
using the orinoco drivers with the Netgear cards since it doesn't
require compiling anything, and it supports most features.  For absolute
best support the wlan-ng drivers I believe are the best, but those you
have to compile in.
