Or just turn you into executive management for knowingly circumventing 
company network access controls.

If you're lucky your sysadmin is nothing more than a paper MCSE.  
Having seen the ugly side (from the BOFH point of view) of what can 
happen to someone who tries going around the sysadmin's access controls 
and gets caught... well... let's just say you'd better dust off your 
resume and have your interview suit pressed.  Circumventing company 
network access controls is not a decision to make casually.
