[TriLUG] ANy interest in VoIP on Linux? How about AoIP?

As long as the bandwidth is 20kHz instead of 3.4 kHz, emphatic "yes."
While I don't see strapping of a desktop system to my belt for a little
802.11 wireless communication from my guitar pickup and microphone to
the PA system, I could sure see some embedded Linux system doing the
job.
Oh, all those well-known DSP algorithms to shape the signal would be so
much nicer than 9V external stomp boxes. Your traditional mixing board
reduces to merely adding numbers before the D/A. Adding is also
well-known.
The kicker is how to get the project started or, rather, finished. Any
ideas? I'm fresh out.
