If you can afford the time, learning LVM is the way to go.
I don't know how much you customize ks.cfg, but I've got a modest bit of
scripting in the %post section, and *none* of it is included in the
generated anaconda-ks.cfg. I'm OK with that, the original ks.cfg is
under CVS, so I can look at the date on an anaconda-ks.cfg and find the
original. Just remember, the anaconda-ks.cfg is a non-omniscient
reconstruction of your configuration.
