                    NC*SA General Meeting
               6:00 pm, Monday, May 12th, 2003
                     Dreyfus Laboratory
                 Research Triangle Institute
                  Research Triangle Park, NC
                     (directions below)

        Speaker: Mr. Bill Gavin
Topic: Value of Ongoing Security Assessments

Bill Gavin will speak to the NC*SA membership about the value
of incorporating security assessment as a normal and routine
monitoring function. Questions to be answered will include:

What is a network vulnerability assessment solution?
What does it do and how does it work?
What are some sample results?
How does it help you?

Some of the common vulnerabilities found on Unix systems will be
discussed and solutions proposed.

Using a network vulnerability assessment solution is the single
most important element of an on-going security program. It is
automated, flexible, fast, and easy to use. It also supplies critical
and timely information to help you provide a stable and secure
environment.
