Right, okay.  Could I (speaking as a member of the LUG and one who reads
the lists) politely ask for an end to the BBQ posts?  I understand why
the thread was started, but why is it continuing?  Yes, I know how to
use my 'd' key.  Yes, these are very obviously posts (by the subject
line) that I don't need to even read before making use of the
aforementioned 'd' key.  Yes, it hs the majic 'OT' in the header.  But
really, this has dribbled on for too long.

So please, I ask, please do not respond to this thread further.  Please
don't respond to my post on the list (feel free to mail me directly).
Please don't pipe up with 'that was the point, it's not on topic, but I
put OT in the subject, so it was okay, but it isn't even close to being
on topic, so putting OT in the subject doesn't give you license to post
just anything'.  Please, just let it die.  It was dead.  Let's leave it
there, okay?

Again, feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss
things further.  It doesn't really need to be on the list.
