[TriLUG] Purchasing a new laptop (slightly OT)

Thanks for all the suggestions -

I talked to our computer repair tech today and he recommended the Dell.
I've had two Thinkpads that I've mostly been satisfied with minus a few
quirks (had two trackpoint devices stop working).  As far as
the Apples go, I think they will be a little higher than the department's
budget will allow.  I would like wireless to work with Linux - guess I
could always get a PCMCIA card or USB wireless.
