Related to that, does the computer beep at all when it comes on?
If so, is it the standard one beep or a series?  If it's a series, it
could be a 'beep code' that tells you what's wrong.  Unfortunately, the
beep codes vary by motherboard manufacturer, so you'll need to look in
your motherboard's manual (or web site) to see what they mean.
