How about the GhostView (aladdin) approach?
The open source was always older/unimproved/unsupported
while the new releases, with support, were fee only.
Just a thought about having your cake while letting
someone else sample yesterday's recipe.

In a previous post I asked about alternatives to ACT! and after looking at
what is out there I decided to code my own solution for my dads office.
The project is a business-niche solution for Real Estate companies and I
have a friend of mine who will also be coding some of it with me.
The question we have now is what options do I have for
distributing/selling it?
