[TriLUG] How to Replace mySQL 3.0 on Redhat 9

I am currently using REDHAT 9.0.
I have MySQL 3.X installed and want to replace it with
MySQL 4.0. Could some tell me the steps  how to uninstall the
old version and install a new version of mySQL 4.X.
