I've also had a lot of good Linux-on-ThinkPad experiences. This email
is being composed on a ThinkPad A22p with a LinkSys WPC11 (ver3) Wi-Fi
adapter. Great machine! It has run Red Hat versions 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, and
now 9. Its achieved multi-month uptimes. And even the APM suspend
works like a champ -- which is very helpful since it gets suspended at
least twice every weekday for the commute.
But no matter what model you finally decide upon, its a good idea to see
what others have written at:

before you pull out your credit card.
