From: Rob Jones [mailto:rob at hotlinuxjobs.com]

I wanted to check with you and see if you might know someone for a
position we have in the Raleigh area. It is a full time position with a
strong company. Basically linux device driver development, storage, RAID
background. Lots of community involvement. They will help with
relocation.
This is the description we have.

Will serve as the companies focal point to the Linux community. Will
monitor kernel and distributor activity daily, including keeping abreast
of coming changes to drivers as well as distributor products. Will
obtain and test beta releases from distributors. Monitor/maintain Linux
mailing lists. Develop and maintain a Linux "build" system. Create GCC
cross-compilers as needed. Will coordinate development efforts of
geographically distributed teams driving towards meeting committed
schedules. You will also be responsible for developing code as part of
the team that you will lead, as well as interfacing with Marketing and
product planning groups. Requires a BSCE or BSEE with a minimum of 5+
years Linux Device Driver development experience. Experience engaging
with the Linux kernel development community. Knowledge of Linux kernel
and GCC required. Experience in storage device drivers highly desirable.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to
coordinate work efforts of geographically distributed development teams
is a plus. Will consider contract or regular employment.

Thanks for your help.
Rob
