[TriLUG] quoted-printable question

My mail reader has trouble with some MIME messages sent to me by a particular
sender. I worked through it and discovered the problem is a sequence like
this in the message:

....blah blah F=3=
Dma blah blah

There are two quoted-printable substitutions happening at the same time: it is
using the sequence =3D for an equal sign, and it is breaking the line with an
equal sign/line feed sequence to keep it under 76 characters. My mail reader
thinks it is invalid to insert the equal sign/line feed sequence in the middle
of the =3D sequence. Is doing that valid or not? If it is, I'll file a bug
with the mail reader, if not, I'll tell the sender they are creating broken
quoted-printable text.
